Broadcom is developing solutions supporting the next generation of 3G and 4G high-speed mobile technologies. As part of the CellAirity Mobile Platform, Broadcom offers a family of HSDPA (High-Speed Downlink Packet Access), WCDMA (Wideband Code Division Multiple-Access), EDGE (Enhanced Data Rates for GSM Evolution), GPRS (General Packet Radio Services) and GSM (Global System for Mobile Communication) baseband processors for use in cellular handsets, PC cards and other wireless-enabled consumer electronics.Work with customers and other development groups to support new mobile multimedia subsystem with an emphasis on audio portion of the various handset projects. Troubleshoot and debug different multimedia audio issues. Optimize and debug existing implementations of media codecs.Developing, maintaining and testing modules of Multimedia audio processing software.-Next Generation mobile baseband processor and multimedia processor software portfolio design and development.-Cellular platform, framework and applications design and development.-Customer support for mobile phone handsets on multimedia audio subsystem. -Mobile system and applications trouble shooting and debugging. Frequent travel will be required. Requirements:Bachelor degree in computer/electrical engineering with 9+ years of related experience, or Master degree with 6+ years of related experience.- 6+ years experience and proficiency in C and C++ with at least 2 years of experience being in the real-time embedded domain.- 3+ years of experience in the design and development of multimedia software on handheld consumer products in the areas of MP3, WMA, AMR, AAC, AAC+, E-AAC+, MIDI, REAL, SMAF, XMF, and etc.- Experience with streaming protocols preferred. - Previous experience developing a media player, or/and display subsystems (LCD and TV), and/or OpenMax are a plus.- Good C skills required.- Experience debugging with tools such as JTAG/ETM.- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
