CDI Aerospace has an immediate need for a Sr. Project Engineer who is experienced in the design of plastic or composite mechanical components. Our client is a global leader in motion control equipment and an industry leader in the design, manufacture, and service of hydraulic and pneumatic components, systems, and related electronic controls for aerospace and other high-technology markets.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Central Division has an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer
to be part of a dynamic and growing segment within the Aerospace Group.
In this position, you will be an integral part of the development and
management of system requirements and support division objectives by
your demonstrated knowledge of ARP-4754, DO-178b and DO-254.You will
ensure the timely and efficient completion of larger, complicated or
multiple projects to achieve company cost and customer service
objectives. You will acts as project leader with senior level technical
responsibility for planning, organizing, and conducting complex
technical projects or major phases of projects involving the design and
development of new or improved products and/or processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish system-level DOORs requirements schemas and flow component
requirements to appropriate product specifications. Work with Central
Engineering customer and sub-tier suppliers to validate and verify
requirements. Manage the DOORs database.
Write DOORs DXL scripts to generate reports. Establish processes for
requirements management and validation.
Participate in system, software and complex-electronics design
reviews that are compliant with ARP-4754, DO-178b and DO-254 guidelines.
Assess suitability of processes and results according the same
guidelines.
Compose summary reports and present results.
Domestic and International travel is required.

REQUIREMENTS
BS or MS degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job
typically acquired through ten or more years of related experience.

Experience with the development, assessment and management of system
(including software, hardware, complex electronic hardware) requirements. Familiarity with DOORs or similar requirements management database. Knowledge of work products required for system/software/complex electronic hardware aircraft certification SOI audits. Demonstrated ability to monitor/assess/enforce D0-178b and DO-254 development practices both in-house (Parker) and with sub-tier suppliers. Experience should span the product life cycle (planning to
post-certification modifications). Strong verbal and written communications skills. Demonstrated
experience coordinating remote team members, suppliers and sites. Demonstrated ability to successfully work in a multi-project environment.
