This is a contract engineering opportunity with long-term potential.
Responsibilities:
Seek results-oriented, creative mechanical engineer capable of generating design concepts that incorporate considerable electromechanical components for fluidics, hydraulics, and/or pneumatics. This individual will be a member of the R&D product design and development team developing ophthalmic surgical devices. Will be responsible for mechanical conceptual design, analysis, and laboratory research. Will effectively drive design concepts from prototyping to production release with minimal supervision.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in mechanisms, pneumatics, illumination and proven track record of delivering products into manufacturing.
- Proficient with Pro/E, Lab View and enjoy hands on laboratory development work.
- Excellent communication skills.
- BSME and a minimum of 10 years, or MSME and a minimum of 5 years with mechanical design/development experience in the above mentioned specialties, as well as, documentation, general analysis, and validation for production.
- An advanced engineering degree with emphasis in research & development, as well as, experience in the medical device industry would be favorable.
