The Broadband group at Broadcom Corporation is at the forefront of all product innovation, providing complete silicon solutions for customers worldwide.ASIC Physical Design Integration EngineerThe engineer will responsible for ASIC physical design integration of high speed analog/mixed-signal PHY in large SOC chips, with emphasis on signal integrity analysis and design performance. Additionally, the engineer will carry out design implementation from RTL to physical verification and timing closure. Thorough analysis of noise effects on signals, timing, and layout optimizations.We maintain a number one market share in most markets served. Requirements:Excellent foundation in circuit theory fundamentals, well-grounded experience in CMOS and transistor-level design, good understanding of analog and mixed-signal circuits such as PLLs, DLLs, and IOs, strong simulation capabilities using transistor-level simulators such as HSPICE or Spectre, strong capabilities in circuit modeling and signal integrity analysis at the chip, package, and board levels, as well as wide-range familiarity with CAD tools. Strong experience with state-of-the-art Place & Route tools, physical verification and parasitic extraction tools, IR Drop analysis tools, timing tools, and spice simulators. Basic programming skills in scripts such as Perl. Working knowledge with Unix and shell scripts. Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering is minimum requirement. Masters degree is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of related industrial experience is required. DDR Experience is a strong plus. Strong written and oral communication, good organizational skills, self-driven, and effective collaboration within a team environment.
