Engineering Technician, to maintain ordinary PCs, along with testing and debuggingthe latest in 802.11 RF test setups. Be part of the team to assist in bringup of cuttingedge WLAN reference designs. Your talented expertise will contribute to design wins,with named brand companies! See a customer prototype, morph into a product, ontothe shelf of a retail Computer/Electronics store, near you.-Support WLAN Hardware reference board designers, providing debug and testing ofengineering boards.-Support WLAN Hardware DVT engineers in maintaining environmental chambersand occasional testing.-Support WLAN System Architecture engineers in field testing of new Wireless LANtechnologies.-Document test methods used and results obtained to hardware lab database.-Build prototype test system components for engineering development and testfixtures.-Responsible for maintaining general lab PC/RF test stations and tracking testequipment calibration schedules.-Installing PC Operating Systems, Linux and Windows.-Help keep the hardware lab organized and a safe environment. Requirements:An AS degree or equivalent minimum 5 -10 years experience in commercialelectronic engineering in an R & D lab environment.-Good organization and verbal communication skills.-Ability to read, write, speak English and work with minimal supervision.-Ability to read schematics, understand basic circuits, digital circuits, LANs and PCoperating systems. Understanding Wireless Lan networks.-Experience with lab equipment; oscilloscopes, logic, network, spectrum analyzers,power meters, digital voltmeters, thermal chambers and general lab tools.-Experience in board debugging to component level.-Experience with using Windows XP, MS Office applications and Linux OS.-Mechanical assembly skills.-Soldering skills in SMT/BGA components a plus.-Drivers License and vehicle, occasional travel to local offsite
