What Is therapy?
The word psychotherapy means caring for another person’s soul or being, as derived from the Greek word psyche meaning “soul” or “being” and therapeutikos meaning “caring for another”. People seek the assistance of a psychotherapist for many reasons. From time to time we can all begin to feel disconnected from purpose. As a result, our personal relationships and professional interests can suffer. It is in those moments that reconnecting with ourselves and making an effort to better understand our motivations and behaviors is crucial. No matter what life circumstance has you considering seeing a therapist, know that counseling can help.
When your life is in balance you can begin to live authentically and purposefully. As your therapist, I will be here to listen and help facilitate positive change in your life. Together, in my Irvine counseling office we will explore the issues that are bringing you to therapy and work towards designing your life in a way that supports your needs and goals.
